SwanSong Violins is run out of the workshop in Jeff's garage. It's a small side-business, but he loves what he does and wants to share it with you. He has a dozen ready-to-buy instruments, as well as others in the works. He would love to talk with you about your specific needs!

4/4 Weekend Hardanger
Made this after seeing Dennis Havlena's website where he makes all sorts of interesting instruments. Took a solidly built student violin, put Mandolin tuners onto an insert and used Mandolin strings for the sympathetic strings. The 4 sympathetic strings run under the finger board where they ring. It does all you'd want a Hardanger to do and with significant volume from the Mandolin strings.

4/4 Cut-away Trial
Before I made my first Princess Violin I wanted to test the reach and the concept on a cheap student violin. It's not made of pretty Spruce and Maple but it's solid and very payable. It's strung up and ready to go to anyone who'd like to learn violin but doesn't want to spend too much money.

4/4 5 String Violin/Viola
Wanting to know what a 5 string instrument would feel like and how the spacing of the strings on the finger board would work I bought this cheap plywood violin from China. I've varnished it and fitted it with a beautiful inlaid chin rest.
